So I have rabbits and they do this a lot, actually, especially when the rabbits don’t know each other very well. Gender doesn’t matter; girls will hump boys, girls will hump girls, boys will hump boys, and (obvs) boys will hump girls. And, because it’s a dominance thing, not necessarily a mating thing, it doesn’t matter which end they hump. The danger is that, if it’s face-humping and the one on top is male, the humpee will bite the genitals off the humper. So, when you see that glint in their eye, you have to make sure the humping is done with care (because you don’t want the rabbits to feel like what their doing is wrong — you don’t want to punish their nature). And that’s your lesson about domesticated rabbits today.
