CSI: Rob Zombie

My pal and killer (see House of 1000 Corpses) Rob Zombie has infused a little kitschy darkness into CSI: Miami, which is normally the tale of a shock of red hair riding around on David Caruso’s body while Barbizon models pick things up with tweezers and look closely at them.
Rob gave the show a gritty makeover and added the kick-ass actors Malcolm MacDowell, William Forsythe & Michael Madsen for good measure. To be honest, I don’t normally watch CSI: Miami, but I will DEFINITELY watch this ep Monday night.

Rob Zombie automatically makes things at least 45% more awesome, just by being near them. For example: see that plate of chicken fingers over there, with the plum sauce for dipping? Pretty awesome, right? Now, let’s put Rob Zombie next to it. *puts Rob Zombie next to plate of chicken fingers w/plum sauce for dipping*
BOOM! Look! 48.5% increase in awesomeness! It’s just that simple.
What if Rob Zombie had been tapped to direct the Land of the Lost remake? I’ll just invite you to ponder what THAT film would have looked like. A lot of words come to mind in addition to “awesome”…
I’m not a CSI: Miami watcher either, I prefer Kawrence Fishburn and Gary Sinese over “sunglasses” any day. But the combo of Zombie, McDowell, Forsythe and Madson makes me just giddy with excitement. Can’t wait to hear your review!
Ah, great. I saw that movie like four years ago and I think I’d finally just gotten the images of Chris Hardwick and Dwight Schrute being brutally murdered by hillbillies out of my mind. Do not watch Rob Zombie movies drunk and with your wife out of town and you alone in an old house. That said, Rob Zombie? Pretty much an underrated pop genius and will be in art history books one day as an icon of postmodernism. For cerealz.
