This is the 9th year of the San Francisco Sketch Comedy Festival but please don’t be misled into thinking it’s soley a sketch affair. The festival spans three weeks and eleven venues with shows ranging from stand-up to improv to films to talk shows and back to sketch.
If you are a self-professed comedy nerd, you will have to step on your boner to keep it out of the way of your keyboard while you read the full lineup. Some (but not by a longshot all) highlights include:
Conan O’Brien, Terry Jones, Reno 911 Live, Neil Patrick Harris, Cinematic Titanic (Joel Hodgson’s MST3K gang), “Weird Al” Yankovic (sitting down to chat with ME), John Hodgman, Dick friggin Cavett, Dave Eggers, Michael Ian Black, Comedy Death-Ray and shitloads more.

SF Sketchfest is the country’s largest independently produced comedy festival and literally run by only three humans who toil mercilessly and non-corporately for months to make it the wonderfully smooth, mind-blowingly kick-ass multi-day event that it is. Now go support it!!

Unfortunately, not enough flier miles to get me across the country…..
