Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...
Ugh. No hostful this week. We recorded it but the one of the mics failed. It would drive you crazy, trust me. Sorry! Guested ep flyin' in!!! link

wow ..where has this been all my life?
so great and FIRSTIES
Damnit
You probably don’t remember it because it’s not one of the “Classic” Muppet Shows. Disney/Henson Co. revived the Muppet Show a few years ago. It didn’t rake in much as far as ratings (and essentially was unpromoted too if memory serves) and a quick death. Which is sad: the word needs more Muppets.
yay.
XDXD were they high or something?
Props for depicting the devil but too bad Jim and crew couldn’t use ‘son of a bitch’ in primetime – that would’ve been mighty.
Ahhhh good ol’ Disney.
Awesome.
That’s classic Muppets.. episode 420 circa 1980.
The devil played so well he turned into lasers!
Wow, Looking at the devil muppet….. I now have sympathy for the devil….. Wait…. What?
“deviled egg” HA!
I have never loved this song more than I loved it right now.
wow…i dont remember that either
Apparently someone doesn’t own the entire collection of Muppet Shows on DVD (!) on which there are a lot of hidden gems. I agree with Kichigai – world needs more Muppets.
i feel like JHens was working out the puppet plans for “Chilly Down” for Labyrinth. look at the back up devils…right?!
This song used to give me nightmares….
Holy shit, that show was so good! I really don’t think there’s been anything comparable since.
You really want to blow your mind? Watch Kermit master teh power of visual thinking.
This makes me smile big.
This is one of the first recollections I have of hearing this song when I was but a youth. It’s never been as good since.
