Stand-Up Clip: Abercrombie & Fitch

by Chris Hardwick on September 4, 2009

Many people who know me from their tele-o-vision sets send me tweets like, “Hey! I didn’t know you did stand-up!” Well, here is visual proof that I do the aforementioned joke telling while standing up. As with most things I do, I have laced it with filth. This is because I am really just a hairy 14-year old.

Come catch a show on the Nice Tweets Tour, which is heavily decorating my site currently.

I was wondering if we’d see clips from your stand-up! Funny stuff!

Stephen Bailey September 4, 2009 at 10:14 am

Chris I have to say as a homosexual male I was completely filled with utter warmth and happiness when you started speaking of all the fluffy gay things that I love…. Not into the coke on the ass of a mannequin but hey to each they own. Anyways whenever you come back to the near parts of South Carolina I will come see you live. Hit me up on twitter Darkonus87.

Alex September 4, 2009 at 10:25 am

Awesome, going to go see you in DC in November.

Thea September 4, 2009 at 10:28 am

“Gayer than cum on a moustache.” … I have a newfound respect for you. Thank you for touching on the douche cavern that is A&F.

Jessica September 4, 2009 at 10:32 am

Wish you were stopping in NYC on your tour!

Kristin September 4, 2009 at 10:43 am

So funny…especially since I worked there back in the day. It is probably good that you don’t shop there anymore. Once you hit 22 you are definitely TOFA. Love your tweets as well.

You are totally one of my favorite comedians out there…I wish I could go and see one of your shows but unfortunately they are a little too far way from where I live.

RadNerd September 4, 2009 at 2:01 pm

You’re a funny dude, right up their with Louis C.K. in my opinion.

Michael September 4, 2009 at 3:27 pm

So, can’t wait until tomorrow night in Denver!

Glen September 4, 2009 at 3:56 pm

Great, thank you sooo much for stopping by SF on your wonderful tour! Douche! What gives? It’s not like we won’t get your shtick. Your gay jokes are right up our……Anyway, new booking manager and you better make up for this soon!

Shawn September 4, 2009 at 6:59 pm

I was only mildly annoyed that you weren’t coming to NYC but now you’re taunting us? Honestly, is it just hard to find a flight out here or something?

Damn it!

Brigitte September 4, 2009 at 7:20 pm

I knew you did stand-up but I had never seen it. Depressing, I know.
I shop at A&F but I hate walking in that store. I feel like I’m back in High School in a room filled with only the slut & douche brigades… minus myself of course.

shaun September 4, 2009 at 8:31 pm

fucking awesome chris. can’t wait to see your show in austin!

Baxtizzle September 4, 2009 at 9:23 pm

Fucking hilarious! Now I HAVE to catch your show!

Mary September 4, 2009 at 9:40 pm

If *ever* an area were crying out for your particular brand of sunshine, it would be Seattle during rainy season. No love for the Washington, People-Who-Pull-the-Tweet-Tour-Date-Strings? (if you tell me I missed you already, I’ll cry copious tears. But no one will notice because I’ll be getting pissed on with tears from the sky! Yay!) p.s. ever notice that’s just about the only context for that particular word? ‘copious + tears’. Personally never heard it anywhere else. Huh.
Alright, I respectfully leave the humor to you. Just..um…get here, mkay? Until then I will resign myself to being one of your bajillion followers on Twitter and watching Web Soup (which should really be on daily) And thank you for not letting me be the only one who says ‘Huzzah’ and ‘Welp.’ (this concludes the ego-stroking portion of my book here. Sorry.) K thx bai :P

I haven’t laughed this hard in a while. Absolutely amazing.

Ryan September 5, 2009 at 8:59 pm

Oh yes, this stuff I love! Gimme more, now, you hilarious tool of entertainment. “Gayer than cum on a mustache”. Forgive me as I implement this at least once in my lifetime. I promise to give you props for it.

Michael LaMere (The Fish) September 6, 2009 at 9:34 am

I would mention the “Gayer than cum on a mustache”, but I can see everyone else already did. As I have said before, hilarious stuff. I only with the show in Minneapolis wouldn’t have been canceled. I wanted to come and see your stand up routine back then.

I agree with you about the Abercrombie and Fitch stores. I was never cool enough to really shop there, but now that I am close to cool enough to shop there, I have gone in there lately and it’s fucking weird. If you think that Abercrombie is Gay, then you should check out a store called “Structure”. That place makes Caligula blush with it’s gayed out sexy shredded plastic models threatening you with their good looks as you walk around looking at male underwear with unusually large bulges forcing the fabric to the near breaking point. All the while thinking, “There’s no fucking way my tiny breakfast sausage is going to make these underwear look good.”

Did I just type that? Oh forget it. You are awesome dude. Great stand up. If you ever come to Minneapolis I need to know, so I can get tickets for the show.

Whenever you’re near enough that I can see it *cough Toronto cough* I’m totally catching your show. Well done, sir!

corwalch September 7, 2009 at 6:02 pm

LOVED your show in Denver, the 6:20 Saturday one. I was with my roomate, the fucking web developer. Hope you had a great time in the Mile High City!

Brandon September 13, 2009 at 3:05 pm

as a homo living in LA and knowing that exact A&F store at the Grove you speak of… I almost died laughing… Can’t walk in that place either… Always had a lil crush on you Chris… now it’s just that much worse. xoxo

Robert September 25, 2009 at 1:27 pm

I saw your show at the Laughing Skull and loved it! Hope you come back around soon.
