Spock Toad

by Chris Hardwick on September 28, 2009

SpockFrog

I took this yesterday at the Newport Aquarium in Northern Kentucky. Right before I snapped the photo, this Colorado River Toad pressed his hand against the glass. Couple that with the steely gaze…How could I NOT do this???

Star Trek LOLToads FTW.

Haha, live long and prosper.

I would also argue that it’s almost a Yoda impression as well.

Why did that pic remind me of Kevin Pereira? O_o

or the one…

have you been to the griffith observatory? there is a free movie in the leonard nimoy event horizon theatre narrated by leonard nimoy. it would make a brilliant drinking game, alcohol poisoning guaranteed if you take a shot every time leonard nimoy says leonard nimoy.

What camera are YOU using? I bought the Casio you recommended on Gadget Pron and it’s pretty good, but your froggy is a fine specimen of photographic prowess. Give it up…what kind you got?

Fascinating…

Mike Statik September 29, 2009 at 8:13 am

“We are assembled here today to pay final respects to our honored dead. And yet, it should be noted that in the midst of our sorrow, this death takes place in the shadow of new life, the sunrise of a new world. A world that our beloved comrade gave his life to protect and nourish. He did not feel this sacrifice a vain or empty one. And, we will not debate his profound wisdom at these proceedings. Of my friend, I can only say this: of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most . . . AMPHIBIAN…?!”

Lorie, I was using my shiny iPhone 3GS.

Statik, that was a phenomenal execution!

Catherine, Yoda works too. Or, Toada, rather.

Live long and hopper!

Thus the origins of “rock paper scissors Lizard Spock”?

lmao, Chris Hardwick, you are my hero. ;D

Lorie Doty October 1, 2009 at 7:31 am

Chris…my love. You spelled my name right. I know, it was right above your reply, but this fact alone doesn’t make me any less excited to see it. I might buy an iPhone for no other reason. Thanks. Lorie.
