HAPPY PI DAY!!!!

by Chris Hardwick on March 14, 2009

Merry Nerd Christmas! Make sure to French a nerd at 3/14 1:59:26! Phirm and I made this and like to pull it out every year for this joyous occasion. It accidentally taught us 180 digits of Pi.

I’ll be on the road at 1:59 today, so let’s take care of this now. *licks nerdist home page noisily*

I love your tag cloud. I’ve tried to make that same thing but I can never get it to work. Maybe I should try java instead of drawing it on a napkin and taping it to my monitor.

I love pi.

this video is very funny Chris

God I loved this song and then your band. So at what point could we pay you to play music full time? 50k? 100k? 1.5 M?

Suhaila March 14, 2009 at 9:53 am

And here I thought you were wishing my cat Pi a happy day. Don’t worry I will be frenching my nerd boi at the appropriate time at a D20 game (champions using the hero system). Sigh. We’re such geeks.

I love this song. Happy Pi day fellow nerdists!!!

Tits McGee March 14, 2009 at 12:06 pm

I hope you don’t mind, but I edited out the rap so that I could show the video to my students yesterday. Predictably, all the nerds were bobbing their heads and digging it.

Right on.

Dude! I was just watching some late night drunken “The Batman” cartoonage, and guess who played The Green Fuckin’ Arrow!?!!?

Awesome brutha!!

Jimmy Jimbo March 16, 2009 at 5:28 am

That poor kid Steve. Twice you guys insinuate that he is an over-eater.

Best video ever!!!!! (followed closely by Van Halen’s “Jump”).

spiritkittykat March 16, 2009 at 11:10 am

That’s great! I love the little robot dancing a little jig.

Jimmy Jimbo March 16, 2009 at 11:35 am

Actually, 3 times if you count his grimmace during the dumping of the pie filling.

I love how scared that kid looks before they have turn-based combat with the wizards.

I felt like I was in a Devo video for a little while. The only thing different was the music was funnier and the budget seemed higher. “Whip It Good” didn’t exactly have the biggest budget, but it did have whips and moderately attractive women, so as a teenager I was sportin’ a semi while watching that video.

It wasn’t “Lord Of The Rings” but it was funnier than hell. I really laughed out loud while listening to this. I had to replay it like four times to get all that was said. Great video man! Great special effects, who did those for you, Industrial Light and Magic? It must have been fun being able to use Skywalker Ranch for your pet projects, must be rough having that kind of cash.

Great fucking video man. I loved it! I know I said that, but it bares repeating. “I loved it, it was better than Cat’s”

Look, I hate to beat a dead horse, but I have given this video at least 1000 hits. I watch it over and over again. I know pi to 20 digits now.

My girlfriend keeps waking up on the couch, and making a face when she sees me rapping to the PI video.

IF THE LYRICS TO THIS SONG WEREN’T GENIUS ENOUGH, THE GODDAMN SONG CARRIES ITSELF AS IT IS.

THE CHORD PROGRESSION WONT STOP REPEATING IN MY HEAD.

ALL HAIL HARD ‘N PHIRM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nicole March 14, 2010 at 12:39 pm

Oh my God, so was last night’s recitation real? I only knew 6 digits of Pi and couldn’t tell if you were faking it!

Alex Arceri March 14, 2010 at 1:12 pm
