Hardwick Stand-Up Clip: Hicks.
by Chris Hardwick on November 27, 2008
I think I’ll start posting stand-up clips. Why not? Technology makes it remarkably easy thereby closing the gap between excuses and intention. Will they be audio clips? Video? IT COULD BE EITHER!!! In this case, though, it’s video, or “eye-food” as I call it. It was recorded on November 22nd @ The Comedy Works in Denver, which is a phenomenal club.
As an aside, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

Awesome idea!! Thanks for the clips.
Like scott said, awesome idea. Post more!
Chris,
I love Hard and Phirm and your work on Attack of the Show, but will you ever put out a full length comedy album? (Or have you and I just don’t know about it.) I love your track on Comedy Death Ray and would buy a CD the day it comes out.
Thanks,
Luke
haha awesome!
Does this mean that bowling alleys are actually grotesque mausoleums where people play games with unhatched dead hick babies?
Oh man! I just remembered that I have a unhatched dead hick baby in my closet! EEEEEEEWWWWWWW!
I appreciate the authentic pronunciation of “opinion”.
BTW, My dad parked his backhoe in our side yard when he wasn’t using it on a construction site. Is that a hick pedigree?
Sadly, this is probably the closest I’ll ever get to seeing your stand-up act… unless you actually venture someplace near Western North Carolina. I’m really bummed that I couldn’t see any of the shows that involved both you and Joel McHale. Damn my inability to drive!
The most amazing thing about that clip is noticing how much you haven’t look like you’ve aged. I am the same age as you and I look like twelve miles of bad road compared to your baby face. I remember watching you on “Singled Out” with Jenny McCarthy and you look the SAME now as you did then. How did you do that? Vegetarian? If you have a secret, please let us know.
That was a pretty funny clip. A friend and I work hard on our weekly Comic Book podcast, but we’re having a hard time acquiring more listeners. We might be a little too harsh for most listeners, but the ones we do have are loyal to a fault; so we must be doing something right. Let me know if you have any suggestions for getting more listeners.
Thanks for being a cool person and a fellow Nerd.
Michael
Thanks you Chris, for finally clearing up the connection between hickdom and bowling. Now for the next video can we get something a little closer to the stage? Thanks!
I agree – Chris needs his own CD or even better a DVD! Hey I’d actually pay for that one
