Next time I would suggest getting her into it again but showing her the creature, maybe a spider or something, but then get her to close her eyes or look away and then put a piece of toast on her hands.
It’s a good thing the headline is meant literally, I couldn’t imagine what to “put a big tarantula on” could possibly be a euphemism for.
