Only if you think you'll use it everyday. On top of that, the iPhone app is another 20 or 30...

You can always check out iGTD (donationware--->http://igtd.pl/iGTD/iGTD2/index.html) or Things (free until the fall--->http://culturedcode.com/things/wiki/index.php?title=Download_Page).

Hey Chris-
IS OmniFocus really worth dropping $80?
I like the program, but that's a little much.

Chris, you are the single crossover between my life in the comedy and technology nerd world. This blog has introduced me to some of my favorite websites and apps, and even inspired me to buy a Zoom H2 last month (which I absolutely LOVE, by the way, already gotten a ton of use out of it). Your reviews are consistently insightful and amusing; this entry alone made me download and begin using OmniFocus, 1Password, and MacJournal. All brilliant applications. So thanks a lot, for not only being a prominent figure in the comedy world, but also a respected Mac Geek. From The Nerdist to your spots on Never Not Funny to Attack of the Show to your stand-up, you represent nerds in the best possible way.

Alan, you'll have that device someday and you can touch it in all sorts of inappropriate ways.

spyboy: I use OmniFocus for tasks but I appreciate the heads-up about Todo!

You forgot to mention a task list app. I use Todo (from Appigo) on my iPhone, which syncs to Toodledo (online task app). There's an app for Windows (chromadrake.com) to sync between Toodledo and Outlook.

Granted this isn't "seamless" but it does allow tasks to flow in & out of the iPhone.

Check this- I (seriously) had a dream last night I was vacationing in London (as I'm wont to do) and I had with me this new apple laptop that was 8.5x11 and flat like air BUT it didn't open up rather it was a larger flatter version of the iphone but it was a laptop but no mouse pad rather you moved things around the entire screen top surface with your hands/fingers and when you needed a keyboard you tapped and it was in the screen AND it was also a phone, wireless network enabled, had gps, maps to everywhere AAAAND it worked globally. Mommy, why did I wake up with sticky stuff in my tented boxers?
