Scrabulous Is The Jesus Christ Of Facebook Apps

by Chris Hardwick on August 1, 2008

Jumper

Only a few days after it was executed by Pontius Hasbro, Scrabulous has been resurrected as "Wordscraper." The scoring has changed a little and the tiles have shifted from the popular square shape to the stable and constant circle. Many office monkeys had begun tying up their affairs in preparation for mass suicides after the Hasbro company blocked the famous Facebook Application, threatening actual work to get done in the corporate cubicle combs of the U.S. and Canada, but this latest John Woo Face/Off switcheroo on the part of Jayant and Rajat Agarwalla will ensure lower productivity and diminished quality control in the American workplace until Phineas J. Hasbro finds a way to donkeypunch fun again.

Well, don’t get too attached to Wordscraper. I’m sure Hasbro’s eying that one as well…

You know, G4 has been reporting all week that Scrabulous is down – but for the last two days I’ve been able to play it just fine on scrabulous.com – is it only down on Facebook? I’m confused. :(

Yeah they just removed the app thankfully… the website is still fine……. for now. I personally cannot stand the UI on Wordscraper. Hopefully the site stays up.
