Shenmue Music Video
by Chris Hardwick on July 8, 2008
Shenmue? Wasn’t that a game for the Sega Dreamcast that came out in nineteen hundred and ninety-nine? YES IT WAS. And now it’s a music video for a song written by a seemlingly one man band called “I Slay Evil Wizards” who has a bunch of catchy video game themed songs on his MySpace page. He apparently also slays friend requests, because he only has 97 friends.
Shenmue was a pioneer in the free-roaming-character-game type, made legendary by GTA. The best part of the game was that you could walk into an arcade and play classic Sega games like Space Harrier. The only thing that could make this more awesome and Japanese is if the game was made out of Unagi.

That song is far too catchy. My Names RIO!
Its gonna be stuck in my head all day. And I don’t mind.
Agreed! Scientists say the best way to get a tune out of your head is to listen to it again!
I have to disagree. While the arcade was cool, learning how to operate a forklift and then racing said forklift (like the Japanese do) was the best part of the game.
That’s hard to argue for sure…
